Michaela Wakelin

Since graduating in 2015, Michaela has worked predominantly in the Canterbury district including with several medical teams.Her passion to pursue a career in podiatry began when she was a teenager. Having seen multiple sports specialists for various injuries, she was introduced to podiatry and experienced how a variety of treatments can improve a person's mobility, performance, and therefore their quality of life.Michaela has a particular interest in biomechanics and sports injuries, including musculoskeletal conditions affecting the paediatric client. She enjoys helping people getback on their feet so they can continue doing what they enjoy and reach their goals. Her expertise is not limited to biomechanics. She is experienced in treating skin and nail conditions, carrying out minor nail surgery and managing those with high-risk feet. She loves the diversity the profession offers, thrives on a challenge and on making a difference where she can.Outside of work Michaela loves to hike, bike, ski, play football and bake for friends and family.

Kathryn Erikson

Podiatrist - Ellerslie clinic
Kathryn established her practice in 1995. She has over 30 years clinical experience. Kathryn was a contractor for the Manukau Super Clinic for 14 years and worked as a senior podiatrist managing the high risk foot. She was involved in establishing Australasia's first Rheumatology Podiatry clinic. Kathryn is committed to ongoing professional development and has a post graduate qualification in wound management via Monash University.Kathryn is also involved in running Comfoot Footwear, a specialty footwear shop. In her spare time she co-ordinates a bush restoration community project on an area of coastal bush at Leigh.
